Down 3 to nothing, Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers will try to live another day as they collide with the 7ft sharp shooter Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks in a much awaited game 4 of the 2nd round NBA playoff.
The Lakers can’t afford to lose because what are on the line
The team’s three-peat,
Phil Jackson’s almost ridiculous quest for a fourth three-peat in his final season,
Legendary status in NBA annals,
Kobe Bryant chasing Michael Jordan’s sixth title, and so on, and so forth.
But the lights of the Lakers to the championship become dimmer, as the Dallas Mavericks covered all the three games. In NBA history, no team has done a major comeback. But the Lakers are not concern of making a massive comeback. Lakers focus only in winning game 4.
Lakers coach Phil Jackson said that getting Ron Artest back in his basketball shoes off his Game 3 suspension will help restore the team’s favored rotations, leaving Odom and Gasol in particular more energy for crunch time. Meanwhile, the primary defensive adjustment L.A. tried to make in Game 3 but couldn’t accomplish is to run Dallas off the three-point line, which worked a few times but ultimately resulted in the Mavs hitting 12 three-pointers, five of which (gulp) came in the fourth quarter.
Can the Lakers make another history ?
