Based on the intro of Tekken 5 and Tekken 6, project leader Katsuhiro Harada revealed a new stereoscopic 3D Tekken movie in a group interview at Namco Bandai’s LevelUp press event in Dubai. The Tekken Blood vengeance, the movie is actually been in development since January 2010.
"That doesn't have anything to do with it this time," Harada insisted. "We're not trying to rewrite those wrongs. Fans are always asking us for a 3D movie. This is our response to them... We want to make a movie that everyone can enjoy, though. Not just Tekken fans." Harada answered after being questioned about last year Hollywood film, Tekken
"We've always heard from fans that they want us to make some kind of animation that uses the hi-res 3D models from the game. As you can see we have the best of the best involved in this CG movie," Mizushima said.
Writer of Cowboy bebop and Ghost in the shell, Dai Sato is the script writer of the movie.

Harada also mentioned in production fighting games Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Tekken x Street Fighter.
"Tekken X Street Fighter, we really haven't started on that yet," Harada revealed.
